Plenty to do, inside and out. Whether you’re in the mood for adventure or something more relaxed, Kronen Gaard has you covered. Rent a bike or canoe and explore the outdoors, or stay in and enjoy wine tasting, kitchen theatre, or a cozy indoor picnic. There’s always something fun to discover—whatever the season.
These activities are perfect as add-ons to meetings and conferences—and just as enjoyable for private groups looking to spend quality time together.
Kitchen theater
Ever wondered what it’s like to run a kitchen? Now’s your chance! In our Kitchen Theater, groups of up to 50 will embark on a unique culinary journey. Under expert guidance, prepare your own meal, design the table setting and floral decorations, and enjoy selecting wines to complement your food. Expect a lively, tasty, and unforgettable 3-hour experience.
Minimum 9 persons.
Beer tasting
Join Roger Sund on a flavorful journey through the world of beer. Taste 8–10 unique beers with notes ranging from caramel and apple to roasted raisin and dark chocolate. This experience will awaken your palate and leave you seeing beer in a whole new light. Lasting about 1.5 hours, it’s perfect for groups up to 30 people.
Minimum 6 persons.
Take a bike for a spin
Grab a bike and explore Sandnes city center’s pedestrian street, or venture out into the countryside for a peaceful ride surrounded by nature. Need a bite? We’ll gladly pack a lunch for your trip or save it for you back at the hotel.
Discover nature by canoe
Step back in time and soak in the soothing sounds of waves and birds along the beautiful Lutsivassdraget. We’re happy to prepare picnic bags or other refreshments for your trip. Whether you paddle for an hour or a full day, we’ll take care of refills and transportation—making your adventure easy and relaxing.

Lunch Tour
Take a little walk close by! Jack Rostøl, a Sandnes author and avid hiker, crafted a special 45-minute route for Kronen Gaard Hotel called the Lunch Tour. It’s a gentle 45-minute stroll filled with beautiful nature—can you hear the birds singing?
Teambuilding at Tunet
Looking for a fun way to strengthen your team and boost the work environment? Our flexible program can be tailored to fit your group’s needs. You’ll tackle challenges that test teamwork, communication, leadership, and problem-solving—all while having a great time. Just wear comfortable outdoor clothes and shoes, and get ready for a memorable experience!

Skogsprett Climbing Park
Skogsprett is just a 10-minute drive from Kronen Gaard Hotel and offers 5 unique challenge courses of varying difficulty.

Trip to Dalsnuten
One of the region’s most popular hikes, Dalsnuten stands at 323 meters and offers stunning views over Sandnes, Sola, and Stavanger. On your way down, take a refreshing dip at Revholdstjørn—perfect on a warm summer day. The trail starts at Gramstad, just a 10-minute drive from Kronen Gaard Hotel.
Trip to Ulvanuten
Join a guided hike to the water tank at Ulvanuten, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Jæren. At the top, enjoy simple and fun activities lasting about an hour—no scary heights or stunts involved! The group will be split into two teams for some friendly competition. Before you set off from the hotel, you’ll receive a few tasks to complete at the water tank.
