A warm welcome to A taste of RE-NAA

Some of the very best Norway has to offer.

This will be an evening where world-class gastronomy meets historic surroundings, warm hospitality traditions and the distinctive atmosphere of Kronen Gaard. For one evening, we create a holistic taste journey for up to 200 guests in several of the hotel’s halls. With RE-NAA’s signature on the menu where their sommeliers compose drink packages for the experience.

The evening also offers a rare opportunity for the culinary teams at our historic hotels, Kronen Gaard Hotel & Gamlaværket, to be inspired by some of the world’s finest chefs in a culinary collaboration, to the delight of both guests and staff.

Setup in the evening is a banquet. Tonight’s dinner is arranged with a table setup in larger groups. This means that we do not use individual small tables or two-person tables.

NB! Food cannot be made fish and butter free.

Guests are welcome from 18:00 for a welcome / story telling with Torill – dinner at 19:00.

The collaboration is organized by De Historiske Hotell & Spisesteder and exemplifies how historic hospitality can open its doors to modern, world-class gastronomy without losing its own identity.

New milestone for RE-NAA and the region

Sven Erik Renaa made history last year as the first Norwegian chef to earn three Michelin stars. Renaa’s journey from one star in 2016 to three stars in 2024 is one of the most remarkable culinary success stories in Norway. That they have chosen to hold their first external guest event in Sandnes and Rogaland, together with a local partner, speaks to their ambition to elevate the entire region through food culture and create a destination worth visiting.

World-Class Dining, Open to More

RE-NAA’s restaurant experience is usually very limited in capacity. On this evening, they make their philosophy and signature flavors available to a much wider audience, including both businesses and private guests, in the historic and distinctive setting of Kronen Gaard Hotel.

A Boost in Expertise

The guest dining experience is also a professional collaboration between two local partners, Team RE-NAA and our kitchens/restaurants at Kronen Gaard and Gamlaværket. For apprentices and culinary professionals, it is a rare chance to work alongside one of the world’s most decorated Norwegian teams and to bring inspiration directly into our own venues.
