Our food philosophy is simple: keep it honest. At Kronen Gaard, we use local ingredients and focus on clean, natural flavors. That way, the food feels just as real and welcoming as the place itself — no fuss, just good food made with care.
Our new open kitchen is a reflection of our pride in what we serve. Here, guests are invited to witness the craftsmanship, enjoy the aromas, and feel connected to the heart of our culinary experience.
Our restaurant is open from 17.00 – 21.00 Monday to Saturday.
Here we serve a 3-course menu of the day, put together by the chef based on the season and local ingredients.
Every Sunday we serve Sunday dinner from 13:00 to 18:00.
For our corporate menus there is a minimum of 12 people.

In keeping with tradition, we host family Christmas parties every Sunday leading up to the holidays, featuring our beloved Christmas buffet.
Delicious Christmas dishes, festive decorations, historic surroundings, and the gentle sounds of classic holiday music come together to awaken that nostalgic Christmas spirit.

Every Sunday from 13:00 to 18:00, we invite you to enjoy traditional, home-style dishes served in our charming historic lounges. After your meal, take a relaxing stroll through the peaceful countryside. Great walking trails begin right outside our door — just ask at reception for a map and tips.

Celebrate May 17 at Kronen Gaard Hotel
We welcome you to an atmospheric celebration of the Norwegian national day in beautiful surroundings. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a delicious menu with traditional dishes made from the best seasonal ingredients.
We are open from 13:00-18:00. The food is served in our historic living rooms, and we also set up outside in the slate courtyard garden if the weather permits.

Summer lunch at Kronen Gaard hotel
From May, we’ll be serving our popular summer lunch buffet every weekday from 11:00 am in historic and pleasant surroundings. If the weather permits, we’ll also set up in the garden for an extra nice summer experience.
